The properties DELP acquired in and around Lake Erie had significant facilities in place. The existing infrastructure, plus the assets’ location in a populous, industrialized consuming market and its close proximity to the Dawn storage hub, gives them the potential for the development of significant natural gas storage. DELP will assess the feasibility of storing natural gas at several of its properties over the course of 2010.

The facilities acquired with the $129 million Talisman acquisition in March 2010 include:

  • Approximately 550 offshore producing natural gas wells and related pipelines
  • Approximately 160 onshore producing oil wells
  • Five onshore natural gas compressors
  • One onshore natural gas processing plant
  • Four onshore central oil batteries
  • Offshore fleet of drilling, completion and stimulation barges plus related equipment
